Hi all!

Just wanted to share the news and get the party promotion started.
During the second week-end in 8-9 October, there will be an Italo-party in Finland... and i hope it would also be an international Italo meeting

Location in Vääksy (120km from Helsinki), town nearby a bigger city called Lahti. The town is located between two big lakes and should be one of the most beautiful areas in Finland. The local hotel will offer the place for the event and also accommodation for those who will come more far.

There will be at least seven (maybe more) Italo artists performing live on Saturday, some of them you have never seen on stage before.

On Friday evening the unofficial part: playing Italo at the hotel's disco, meeting friends (Italo fans & artists), dancing, drinking, chatting, having fun.
On Saturday "an Italo dinner" and after the official event in the main"hall" of the hotel: Italo played by the DJs, artist performances etc.

If you ever have considered to visit Finland, now it will be the time. Much more information will follow during the upcoming days. Get ready!!!

About five months to go...

Here's now detailed information how to make the room reservation, prices etc.

They have set a special discounted price for the party guests (-25% from their normal room prices). You can book the room with a campaign code: 0910
The prices are as following here:
59.00e/person/double room for 1 night + ticket for the Gala
94.00e/person/double room for 2 nights + ticket for the Gala
80.00e/person/single room for 1 night + ticket for the Gala
115.00e/person/single room for 2 nights + ticket for the Gala
The ticket for the Gala is 20.00e (included to these room prices!).

Concerning the way from Helsinki airport to Vääksy:
There will be a bus leaving from the airport almost in every hour to Lahti
(city nearby Vääksy). In Lahti you usually need to change the bus which will then stop almost in front of the Hotel doors. The journey from the airport to Vääksy takes normally about 2 hours by bus (there are some faster and some slower lines). If needed, we can later post also the timetables of this busline. The one-way-ticket is about 20 euros.

If there would be more people coming around the same time from the airport to Vääksy, KIMMO SALO could try to organize a mini-bus for this journey.

KIMMO SALO would be very grateful if you could let him know when booking a hotel room or if you would like him to think about organizing a private bus from the airport to Vääksy on Friday 8th of October. It would be important for him to know it early enough.

Just checked out, the room booking is working now as promised. The prices are given based on the whole room (not for each person), meaning a double room (including the ticket), two nights is 188.00e -> 94.00e/person etc. Please notice that all the rooms aren't sold with this discounted price.

About 4 months to go...

The first plane tickets for the artists have been bought recently:
The first two artists are flying from Milan, both legendary names of Italo Disco.
If there would be a Hall of Fame for Italo, this artist would defenately be there. He has made Italo tracks from the early Italo years till this day. He has worked with the most influental Italo producers, composers and arrangers... The Years, Wind of Change, Bodyheat, Love Theme from Flexxy-Ball, Open Your Eyes
...ladies and gentlemen: FRED VENTURA!!!
The other Italo legend... he made one of the biggest Italo classics in 1983. He was performing with the big names of Italo (like Albert One and Den Harrow) in the early years, but disappeared a while after. He's an Italo artists who you haven't seen live on stage after the golden years of Italo... Diamond in the Night, Greatest Mind, Shadows of the Night ...back on stage in October: FELLI!!!
